Working of Servo Voltage Stabilizers and Application Usage.

Servo Voltage Stabilizers and Application Usage

What is a voltage stabilizer?

A voltage stabilizer is an electronic device used to stabilizes and provide a constant voltage output irrespective of incoming supply.
The basic objective of a voltage stabilizer provides protection of the electronic appliances from possible damage due to voltage fluctuations.

What is servo voltage stabilizer?

A servo voltage stabilizer is basically an electronic device or machine which controls the incoming voltage fluctuations and transfers the standard and desired output voltage. Servo stabilizers control the voltage fluctuations automatically and regulate the voltage.

In technical words, a servo voltage stabilizer is a stabilizer which has a servo engine. Its servo engine manages voltage supply with buck/boost transfer supporter that regulates voltage fluctuations and manages provides the standard current.

Servo stabilizers come in both in Single Phase and Three Phase in Oil Cooled and Air Cooled units. , also these stabilizers can be manufactured as per the need and customers usage.

Components of a servo voltage stabilizer:

    • Servomotor
    • Buck Boost Transformer
    • Contactor or Relay
    • Dimmer
    • Carbon Brush
    • MCB, MCCB
    • Electronic Circuit

Working of servo voltage stabilizers:-

In servo voltage stabilizer, there is a mechanism where negative feedback is used to generate automatic control over voltage fluctuations. Buck/Boost transformer is the essential part which regulates the input voltage. When it is found that there is fluctuation in input voltage the stabilizer automatically take action to bring down or normalize voltage required.

Application & Usage

Servo voltage stabilizers are best used in big, small & medium enterprizes. It has high precision to control and regulate the voltage fluctuations. It gives ±1 % voltage output where the input voltage alters up to ± 50 %.

Reasons to chose servo stabilizers over other voltage stabilizers:

Servo stabilizer is not just used to control the voltage fluctuations but it is a highly reliable and energy-saving device that safeguards any fire accident or misshaping which happens due to short circuit and all of the sudden high voltage fluctuations

The servo stabilizer has the following advantages over other voltage stabilizers:

Servo voltage stabilizer  has a high load capacity that can support up to 5000 KVA or above with accuracy.
  • High voltage correction and accuracy with an output of ±1 voltage correction.
  • Switch-less system which adjusts the voltage fluctuations automatically.
  • Servo voltage stabilizer works on the step-less correction method.
  • It comes in both Oil and Air-cooled transformers with Single and Three  Phase.
  • The best voltage stabilizing device for hospitals to run complex machines like X-ray and CAT scans and other diagnostic equipment.
  • Due to its reliable features, used in school, college, homes and industries
  • Servo voltage stabilizer can be customized as per the need.
How do we know that we need an ordinary stabilizer or Servo voltage stabilizer?

Well, first you have to find out why you need a stabilizer, is it for your home, office or for your factory or manufacturing unit. A voltage stabilizers is used to controls the fluctuating voltage which could damage electronic devices and hamper our work.

Now, once your purpose is clear, find out the voltage rating of electronic appliances in your home, office etc. Power rating embossed on the electronic device in VA or KVA. Also, consider whether your home or Office is a single-phase or three-phase

Voltage in different places

To be more specific
Residential house or home: 200 VA, 300 VA, 500 VA, 1 KVA, 2 LVA, 3 KVA, 4 KVA, 5KVA, 8 KVA and 10 KVA.

Industries: For big and medium enterprise and commercial purpose high power stabilizers are needed. KVA rated voltage stabilizers are suitable. For industrial and commercial purposes, high power rated servo stabilizer is needed.
